This morning, our Kindergarten classes had a special visit from Santa Claus via Zoom, all the way from the North Pole. The children were excited to see Santa on the screen, where he greeted them and asked what they were hoping for this Christmas. The virtual visit gave the kids a chance to interact with Santa, share their holiday wishes, and enjoy a fun, festive moment together. It was a memorable experience that brought a little extra holiday cheer to their day.

USD 480 Officials and Law enforcement have been made aware of a large number of “Swatting” incidents expected throughout the country tomorrow, Thursday, October 3, 2024.
“Swatting” is making severe false reports to authorities intended to cause fear and apprehension. These false reports may occur at Schools, Businesses, and Individual homes. It's crucial to be aware and prepared.
USD 480 officials and local first responders will take each threat seriously until confirmed otherwise.

Parent teacher conferences take place this week on Monday and Tuesday from 4:30-7:30 and Thursday from 8:00-3:30. Miss. Strand has a positive attitude and always has something positive to say. She is a wonderful and passionate teacher. Miss. Strand provides support and gives guidance to anyone seeking assistance and helps find different strategies to teach lessons to enhance student performance. She is patient with students and makes connections with each student. She is friendly and professional. Miss. Strand helped make the KELPA testing process a smooth one. She has been in education for 8 years and is involved in her church, Great Plains Angels for Animals, and Southwest Symphony. She is from Colorado and has 1 dog, 2 cats, enjoys sewing, camping, Bob Ross, and playing violin. Her goal is to help students grow in confidence. Her motivation is there is a bigger purpose in life and so much to be thankful for.
Mrs. Russell is dependable, available, a hardworker, and is great with students. She helps manage classrooms and ensures everyone is paying attention. She holds herself and students accountable. She is dedicated and a blast to work with. Mrs. Russell is ready to help any teacher who needs it and gets things done in a timely manner. She has been in education for 9-10 years and is married with 4 daughters, 2 sons, 2 grandsons, and 2 dogs. She likes to bake Tik-Tok recipes and would like to travel. Her goal is to meet new kiddos, build trustworthy and lasting friendships. She hopes to make a difference in one kiddo's life and help students reach goals while learning something new.
