LHS HOMECOMING WEEK

Yesterday, in honor of School Board Appreciation Month, our USD 480 board members received a giftbox with something from each of our nine schools. We appreciate all they do for our district and community, seen and unseen. They sacrifice so much of their time, not just at board meetings, to ensure our staff and students are cared for and that they are provided with everything they need to succeed. Their selflessness and ability to make tough or perhaps unpopular decisions helps make USD 480 a great place while striving for continuous improvement. Thank you, USD 480 Board of Education! This month and every month!
We are back to normal schedules and activities tomorrow!

Out of an abundance of caution, there will be NO SCHOOL at USD 480 today, Monday, January 26, 2026. ALL activities and practices for today are CANCELED as well.

Due to the extreme cold and wind chill expected tomorrow morning, school will operate on a 2 hour delayed start on Monday, January 26, 2026. School will start at 10 AM to help ensure the safety of our students and staff. There will be NO AM Preschool.
We recognize that travel conditions and weather tolerance vary by student and family and want to provide every family with adequate time to safely get their children to school. Parents and guardians are encouraged to arrange transportation for their children if possible or to make the best individual decision for their family when determining whether it is safe for their child to attend school.
Student safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we try to monitor forecasts and respond to conditions as they arise. Please continue to monitor school communications for any additional updates.
Thank you for your support and partnership.
