This will be a busy weekend across USD 480! Starting with the LHS Drama Department's Fall Play and the Seymour Rogers dance tonight, followed by a busy Saturday of band auditions, debate, middle school wrestling, and another evening performance of Marriage Wheel at 7 PM at the James W. Maskus Auditorium. The weekend will be capped off with a Sunday matinee finale of Marriage Wheel at 2:30 PM. Good luck to all of our students this weekend! Be sure to get out and support and encourage our students when and where you can this weekend!

It was a great day to be green at USD 480 elementary schools today! 5th graders from USD 480 dressed in Saints shirts packed The Greenhouse today for a Seward Saints Men's Basketball game and they made their presence felt adding a high level of energy throughout the big Saints win! It was definitely an experience they won't forget and the Saints gained a huge number of fans today! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!

The Kansas State Department of Education has awarded USD 480 with a Copper Star in two areas for our efforts in 2025. We are excited to announce that we were recognized in the areas of Social-Emotional Learning and High School Graduation. Today is Kansas School Transportation Appreciation Day and we are blessed with the best! Across town or across the state our transportation crew makes sure our students arrive at their destination in a safe and timely manner. We are thankful for all their early mornings and late nights, their dedication and diligence. While other districts struggle to fill the important role of qualified bus drivers, we are rarely short staffed in the over 166,000 miles they cover annually. By the way, that's like driving across the country 60 times! So, when you see them, slow down, be mindful, and give them a break and a friendly wave as they carry our most precious cargo.
