🎓💚 Kindergarten Promotion 2026 💛🎓
Our Meadowlark kindergarten students officially celebrated a huge milestone as they completed their first year of school! We are so proud of all the growth they have shown this year — academically, socially, and emotionally. From learning letters and numbers to building friendships and confidence, these students have accomplished so much in just one school year.
Our Kindergarten Promotion ceremony was filled with smiles, excitement, and proud families as we celebrated this special moment together. Watching our students sing, smile, and celebrate their success was a reminder of how much they have grown since the first day of school.
Congratulations to all of our kindergarten graduates! We cannot wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish as 1st graders next year. 🌟📚
Thank you to our kindergarten teachers, staff, and families for supporting and encouraging our students every step of the way this year. 💚💛

Students at Meadowlark Elementary School had a special surprise last Monday as members of the Seward County Saints men's basketball team visited classrooms to spend time with students and staff.
The sophomore players stopped by Miss Lewis’ first grade classroom and Miss Padilla’s fifth grade classroom, where they shared SCCC goodies, answered student questions, and joined in for story time. Students enjoyed getting to meet the athletes, learn more about college basketball, and build connections with positive role models from our community.
We are thankful to the Saints for taking time out of their busy schedules to invest in our students and create such a fun and memorable experience at Meadowlark!

We’re a little late sharing this, but we still wanted to recognize something pretty special from March 27! 🚓
Our Redskin Patrol, made up of our very own high school students, visited and spoke with our K-3rd grade students about the importance of seatbelt safety. They did an outstanding job sharing this important message and serving as positive role models for our younger kids.
It’s always great to see our older students stepping into leadership roles and making an impact in our building. We’re proud of the way they represented themselves and our school!
Thank you, Redskin Patrol, for helping keep our students safe and informed! 💚

Last Friday, Meadowlark Elementary wrapped up the year with our final school assembly and it was one to remember!
Our 5th grade students led the entire assembly with support from Mrs. Hermreck, sharing jokes, celebrating birthdays, and organizing games for all grade levels.
We were also excited to welcome players from the Seward County Community College men's basketball team, who joined in the fun! Older students competed in Knock-Out, while younger students showed off their skills in a dribbling obstacle course.
It was a great way to celebrate the year, highlight student leadership, and have some fun together. Thank you to everyone who made it such a memorable event! 🏀👏

Our 5th graders have been hard at work as scientists in their classroom, closely observing worms and recording what they notice—just like real researchers! Students practiced patience, careful observation, and critical thinking as they watched how worms move, where they choose to settle, and how their environment affects their behavior.
Activities like this help students build curiosity, strengthen science skills, and make learning come alive. We love seeing our learners so engaged, thoughtful, and excited about discovering how the world works!
