On Wednesday evening, April 23, the Liberal Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual LHS Scholarship Banquet at the Seward County Activity Center. After a meal catered by Big Bites, LHS seniors were awarded nearly $200,000 in scholarships.
Chamber CEO Rozelle Webb served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event, which was organized by LHS teacher Joel Plummer and other Liberal High School staff.
The evening culminated with Principal Ashley Kapplemann announcing the top five students:

1. Katrin Flores
Valedictorian Katrin Flores barely had time to sit down between each of the scholarships she earned.
