Mrs. Classen with Ms. Bruce

We are proud to recognize Kris Classen as Meadowlark Elementary’s Teacher of the Month for May and congratulate her on being honored tonight at the USD 480 Board of Education meeting as the Chamber Educator of the Month!

As our reading and math interventionist, Mrs. Classen works tirelessly to support students and help them reach their full potential. She brings patience, encouragement, and high expectations to every interaction, creating an environment where students feel supported, confident, and capable of success. Her ability to build meaningful relationships with students allows her to make a lasting impact both academically and emotionally.

Mrs. Classen’s dedication extends far beyond intervention services. She consistently collaborates with teachers, supports student growth, and works alongside staff to ensure students receive the support they need to be successful. Her commitment to doing what is best for kids is evident in all that she does.

In addition to her work with students, Mrs. Classen serves as Meadowlark’s building union representative and 504 coordinator. She is also an active member of our culture committee, behavior team, and crisis team. Her leadership, professionalism, and willingness to support both students and staff make her an invaluable part of our school community.

Mrs. Classen’s compassion, reliability, and servant leadership help make Meadowlark a stronger place for everyone. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and heart she brings to our building each day.

Congratulations, Mrs. Classen, on this well-deserved recognition!
