Our annual 5th Grade Job Interviews were a huge success! This special tradition gives our oldest Meadowlark students a chance to experience what it’s like to apply and interview for a real job—and they did not disappoint!

Students filled out applications, prepared a list of skills, and many even came dressed for success. Before stepping into their interviews, they learned the importance of a firm handshake, eye contact, and speaking with confidence.

The list of jobs was impressive—ranging from Morning Announcements Broadcaster, Hand Washing Station Monitor, and Restroom Inspector to School Ambassador, Mail Courier, Maverick Clean-Up Crew, Breakfast Helper, Morning Greeter, PE Equipment Helper, Library Helper, Lost & Found Organizer, Stage Crew, Lunch Envelope Courier, and Celebration Assembly Squad. Each position came with its own qualifications, and our interviewers were on the lookout for the right students to match the right jobs.

We were honored to have a wonderful team of interviewers join us: Superintendent Mr. Richardson, Assistant Superintendents Dr. Rocque and Mr. Bellar, School Board Member Sarah Thompson, and SCCC Coaches Bianca Gutierrez and Will Marchino. Their support helped make the experience authentic and meaningful for our students.

This event not only helps students step into leadership roles within our school, but it also builds lifelong skills like responsibility, teamwork, and communication. We are so proud of our 5th graders for their courage and professionalism!
