As the school year draws to a close, Meadowlark Elementary School would like to take a moment to celebrate and honor three remarkable educators who are beginning a new chapter after years of dedicated service. Deena Fuller, Holly Denton, and Shawne Padilla have each left an irreplaceable mark on our school community, and we are proud to recognize their contributions as they retire.

Deena Fuller – Interventionist

With a deep passion for helping students grow and thrive, Deena Fuller has been a guiding light for many children throughout her career. As an interventionist, Deena brought skill, patience, and compassion to every lesson and interaction. Her ability to identify students’ unique needs and tailor support accordingly has been a cornerstone of her success. Beyond academics, Deena’s warm presence and unwavering encouragement helped countless students believe in themselves. Her legacy will continue to shape the culture of support and perseverance at Meadowlark for years to come.

Holly Denton – ESL Specialist

Holly Denton has been a steadfast advocate and champion for English language learners at Meadowlark. With care and cultural sensitivity, she empowered students from diverse backgrounds to find their voice, both literally and figuratively. Holly’s work extended far beyond teaching language skills—she built bridges between families, celebrated multiculturalism, and helped foster an inclusive school environment. Her dedication not only enhanced the educational journey of her students but enriched our entire school community.

Shawne Padilla – Paraprofessional

Known for her kindness, reliability, and hands-on support, Shawne Padilla has played an essential role in student success and classroom dynamics. Whether assisting in daily instruction, offering one-on-one support, or helping teachers create welcoming learning spaces, Shawne has done it all with a generous spirit and a calm, encouraging presence. Her behind-the-scenes impact has touched the lives of so many, and her absence will be felt deeply by staff and students alike.

As we say goodbye to Deena, Holly, and Shawne, we are filled with gratitude. Their years of service have made Meadowlark Elementary not just a school, but a stronger, more caring community. We wish them all the best in retirement—may it be filled with joy, relaxation, and the same fulfillment they gave so freely to others.

Thank you for everything. You will always be a part of the Meadowlark family.
