Meadowlark Elementary celebrated the season of gratitude with a heartwarming Thanksgiving meal for all of our students. The Thanksgiving luncheon featured a variety of classic dishes, including turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, and pumpkin pie—providing students with a taste of the holiday spirit. This meal is a special opportunity to come together as a community and share in the joy of the season.
“Our annual Thanksgiving meal is a beloved tradition at Meadowlark,” said Principal Winger. “It’s a wonderful way to bring our school family together, show appreciation for our students, and create lasting memories. It’s a great reminder of the importance of community and giving thanks.”
The event was made possible through the hard work of our cafeteria team, as well as the generosity of volunteers and staff who helped prepare and serve the meal.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our Meadowlark Parent Coordinators, Emma Galindo and Marlene Amparan, for their outstanding efforts in organizing and decorating this event. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the representatives from the Kiwanis Club of Liberal—Maria Delao, Karem Gallo, and Becki Richardson—as well as USD 480 School Board member Brad Carr. We are also deeply appreciative of the Realtor Association members—Renee Harlson, Stephanie Hall, Janie Rine, Richard Farrar, Sue Smith, Gary Classen, and Karessa Delay—along with all other community volunteers who contributed their time and efforts to serve the meal and help make this event a truly memorable experience for our students and staff.
