Late last night, November 4, 2020, and into early this morning, Liberal High School
administration was made aware of a screenshot of a group message and other posts that
contained racist remarks and responses to them. Since being made aware of these posts late
last night, we have been working with the Liberal Police Department as well as the Liberal
Police Department resource officer to address the situation swiftly and appropriately. We will
continue to investigate this matter.
Liberal High School takes these matters very seriously. Moreover, we take a strong stance on
addressing situations that cause any student to be treated without dignity or respect.
