Problem Areas To Be Aware Of:

The best science fair and engineering projects are not built at the last minute, but are the result of careful planning and work over a period of time.  Therefore, parents and teachers are urged to give directions, information, and encouragement to your students as soon as possible.

All participants in the District Science Fair must have a display board with title board for stability.  These can be purchased at Wal-Mart or office supply stores.

Occasionally district projects end up in a different category than the project was originally entered.  The project will be placed in the most appropriate category with leveling of categories being a contributing factor.  Similar student projects will compete against each other in the most appropriate category.  This will be at the discretion of the Director.  WARNING:   All students must give a brief and accurate description of their projects on the entry form or the project will be disqualified.

If a student qualifies for the district science fair, they are reminded that if they are not able to pick-up their projects during the designated time slot to make arrangements to have their project picked-up.  Remaining projects and boards will not be returned to individual schools.

If  a student qualifies as an overall project finalist, that individual will receive a phone call before 6:30 am on Thursday morning, Feb. 21st at the latest.
