Foundation Scholarships
Foundation Scholarships are available for each of the post-high programs offered at SWKTS. These are awarded to full-time eligible students according to program, aptitude, scholastic achievement, and activities in high school or in the community. Students will also need a written recommendation from any of the following: High school counselor, principal, or instructor, a clergyman, or from their employer.
Foundation Scholarships will pay $500 for 1116 hour programs and $600 for 1356 hour programs. The money will be made in two payments and must be used for expenses at Southwest Kansas Technical School. Poor attendance or classroom work could result in in the loss of award in the second half of the program. Foundation Scholarship qualifications include the following:
1. High School G.P.A. of 2.5 or above
2. Eight semester high school transcript
3.Wonderlic scores for that program
4. Activities while in high school
5. Recommended by high school principal, counselor, instructor, employer, or clergyman
6. Must be enrolled as a full-time student
7. Open to any post-high student
