Financial Aid

Financial Aid at Southwest Kansas Technical School is for post-high school students enrolled at least half-time. Federal financial aid may be obtained by applying at the Student Services Office. To be eligible for Federal Financial Aid a student must:

1. Is a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.

2. Is enrolled at least half-time or accepted for enrollment as a "regular" student.

3. Is in an eligible program.

4. Is making satisfactory progress at the certifying school if prior record has been established.

5. Is working toward a certificate or a diploma

6. Is not in default of any loan or owe a refund on any grant made under Title *IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, at any institution.

7. Is in compliance with selective service requirements.

8. Has stated his/her intent to apply proceeds to educational purposes.

9. Has financial need as defined by the U.S. Department of Education
