Admissions

Anyone who has a high school diploma, or a recognized equivalent of a high school diploma (GED), or who has completed testing that indicates they have the ability to benefit from the training is eligible to enroll at Southwest Kansas Technical School.  All students also must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.

Applications to enroll may be completed at any time, but it is recommended that applications be submitted at least two weeks prior to the starting date. This allows for necessary testing, counseling, and evaluation of the results. Students must attend an orientation session. Prior to acceptance at SWKTS, each prospective student must submit a copy of their high school transcript, and any post secondary credits they have completed. SWKTS will accept work completed at other technical schools or colleges. Transcripts of previous work must be submitted to the school for evaluation. Evaluation of the transfer work is made by the Director.
