Hello! My name is Holly McCarter. My husband and I both work for the school district. We have 4 children who all attend school here in Liberal. We enjoy being actively involved in their various activities throughout the year. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, attending sporting events (or watching them on TV), playing games, and doing jigsaw puzzles!
My family has lived in Liberal for most of my life. Both of my parents were school teachers here in Liberal. I attended MacArthur Elementary school, West Junior High, and graduated from Liberal High School in 1990. I received my Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas in 1994. I received my Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Oklahoma State University in 1997.
I am nationally certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). I am a member of the Kansas Speech Language Hearing Association (KSHA). I maintain licensure through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
My work experiences include working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the nursing home and hospital settings prior to working in the Liberal school district. I began working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the schools in 2002. I currently provide speech and language services to children at Lincoln Elementary School, Washington Elementary School, and Washington Preschool. I am a member of the Autism Diagnostic Team.
